Due to license agreements with publishers, some library resources limit the number of users who may access the resource at the same time. If a database has a platform-wide user limit, it will display in the Connection Note field in its Databases list entry. In many cases, these user limits also display in QuickSearch detailed records for those databases' contents.

For e-books, user limits vary from book to book due to different publishers' restrictions In QuickSearch, many books display their user limits in their detailed records, but due to technical limitations, some books do not.

If you have a question about whether a resource has a user limit, please Ask a Librarian.
